Silver Alert issued for 18-year-old Raleigh man

Raleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police were searching Saturday morning for a missing 18-year-old man who is believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment.
The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Tavalas Deree Dawson at 9 a.m. after he went missing from the 1400 block of South Wilmington Street.
Dawson is 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes, authorities said.
It wasn't clear where Dawson may be headed.
