Authorities on Saturday morning canceled a Silver Alert issued for 88-year-old Canoy Weeks Blair, of Greensboro, on Friday evening.

<b>GREENSBORO, N.C.</b> — Authorities on Saturday morning canceled a Silver Alert issued for 88-year-old Canoy Weeks Blair, of Greensboro.

The alert for Blair was issued around 8 p.m. Friday and canceled about six hours later.

Authorities did not release any details about how she was found or her condition. Blair had last been seen driving in Greensboro.<br />

Developed in 2007, Silver Alert is a system to quickly notify the public about missing, endangered adults who suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer's disease.<br />

It also allows caregivers and nursing homes to report a person missing. In the past, only a family member could report an adult missing.
