Silver Alert

— A Silver Alert was canceled Tuesday evening for a Halifax County man, according to the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons.

Ryan Oneal Dale, 34, was believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

He was reported missing earlier Tuesday after being last seen at a Wachovia Bank in Rocky Mount.

Police said Dale was found at a rest stop along Interstate 95 in Nash County. He was okay and had run out of gas.

Why is someone with "dimentia or other cognitive impairment" allowed to drive?

"No one takes Sliver alerts seriously anymore."

Obviously you've never had a mentally impaired loved one come up missing or you would not feel that way, but don't criticize because that's the quickest and most assured way to make sure the shoe lands squarely on your foot and that is something none of us need.

Praying for his safety and his loved ones.

    God bless.

Another "CRY WOLF". The article states the man has been missing since Tuesday morning. Well, it's Tuesday, 9:15am...so the man has been missing for what, an hour and already there's a silver alert for a man who is probably at McDonalds getting some breakfast !?!?!?!?

No one takes Sliver alerts seriously anymore.

While some of these Silver & Amber Alerts are necessary I feel as though some of them "of late" are not necessary because of the number that have been happening.
