Siler City police searching for missing 24-year-old man

Posted October 18, 2012

— Siler City police are searching for a missing 24-year-old man, Jesse Lewis Maness, who was last seen leaving a restaurant early Saturday morning.

Maness was driving a burgundy, four-door 1995 Chevrolet Corsica with North Carolina license plate YXW-1979, police said.

According to a Facebook page, "Please Pray for Jesse Maness," he was last seen sitting in his car alone in the parking lot of Compadres Mexican Restaurant around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

He was wearing new Nike Air Max shoes, a long-sleeve cream-colored shirt and cargo khakis, according to the page.

Police said Maness is about 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 175 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

His family and friends told police that they have not talked with him since Saturday, which is "extremely out of the ordinary" for him, police said.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Siler City Police Department at 919-742-5626.

Is their crime link to this young man, maybe. Did he walk away on his own, or did he have some kind of help.

Someone knows something and now is the time to step forward and tell what you know or what you have seen. What if this was your love one or a friend? Would you keep it to yourself?

Before this morning, I had no idea this young man was missing. I am glad the media is all over it. I am praying that they find his vehicle. It has to be somewhere. Keep a watch out for it.

It has to be related. barham

I don't believe these case are related. I pray that they do find this young man well and alive. I never thought this would happen in Chatham/Randolph county. But it did. Praying for his safe return.

I know - another missing person - This is terrible - every day you hear of this - I hope and pray he returns safely. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Okay, they found the woman from Siler City dead. She drove a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier which is still missing. Now this guy from Siler City driving a 1995 Chevrolet Corsica is missing. It has to be related.

That's a stretch of mammoth proportions. The only thing linking them is a coincidence of 95 Chevys. There will have to be many other points where these two have crossed paths before this will be a viable link.

I do hope and pray he's found safe while giving comfort and courage to the family. God Speed.........

I don't think it's related, the Siler City woman was driving a blue 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier and Jesse's car is a burgundy, four-door 1995 Chevrolet Corsica.
