I'm excited to be working with Marbles Kids Museum on a contest they're sponsoring that includes a free screening of its new IMAX documentary film, "Journey to the South Pacific."

Marbles and Go Ask Mom is teaming up for the Kid Critic Challenge. We're inviting young movie buffs and aspiring writers to a private kids' "press" screening of the 3D flick, which is exclusively in IMAX at Marbles. After the movie, kids write a short review of no more than 150 words for a chance to be featured here on Go Ask Mom and win prizes from Marbles and IMAX!

Three winners from each age group - grades two to three, grades four to five and grades six to eight - will be chosen. You must RSVP to the screening by Jan. 8. Reviews must be submitted by Jan. 17.

To RSVP for the screening, which is scheduled for 10 a.m., Jan 11., email rsvp@marbleskidsmuseum.org (deadline Jan. 8). For those attending the screening, they can email their review to trankin@marbleskidsmuseum.org (by Jan. 17).

Space is limited and pre-registration is required! Good luck! I'll be among the judges reviewing the submissions. I look forward to it!
