There seems to be nothing here to notify the parents about. Someone reported that some unknown person may have fired a gun from some unknown car....OR it backfired. No injuries, no damages.

How do they know for sure that shots were fired? It could have been a car backfiring...

maybe the police should ask us to do their job and help out on this one.

You are so right. As a parent, I think we should have been notified by the phone notification system that the school system uses for other 'important' school information. Instead, we get it by rumor/word of mouth. I, my husband and both kids were there last night and never heard anything about it.

I am ticked because we as parents have not been notified. My child was there last night. We heard rumors about it last night, but there was no news on it so we figured it was just that, rumors.

Why have parents not been notified?

If I were a parent of a Clayton High School student then I would have freaked at this headline....but it happened last night! WRAL, maybe you should change the headline....it gives the impression that this just happened.
