Shots fired into vehicle in Durham; man, woman injured

A man and woman were injured early Saturday when someone fired shots into a vehicle in Durham, police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A man and woman were injured early Saturday when someone fired shots into a vehicle in Durham, police said.

Officers responded to the area near the intersection of Otis and Nelson streets at about 3:30 a.m. The man, who was driving the car, sustained serious injuries when he was shot in the torso.

The woman was shot once in the leg, and authorities said her injuries were not life-threatening. Their names have not been released.

No other information about the shooting has been released. No arrests have been made.
