In your hypothetical, no it would not stop all killings and violence, but it would take away a highly effective killing tool. Would that be so bad?

I just don't get this logic. I guess spoons make people fat too? Some of the cities in this country with the strictest gun control laws have worse gun violence than ones without!(see Detroit )

Guns make it far too easy to kill people and there are too many guns in this country.

Guns do not kill people, people do. There are plenty of laws on the books that could be enforced.

The gun violence goes on and on and on. But neither our State nor Federal legislators are willing to tackle this even in a modest way. Cowards all, and afraid of the NRA.
