RED SPRINGS, N.C. — The Hoke County Sheriff's Office is looking for the culprits who fired guns into a Red Springs home on Sunday morning.

Sheriff Hubert A. Peterkin said in a statement Monday that it is not the first time his deputies have responded to shots fired at the home, at 4422 Old Maxton Road.

The homeowner, Kenneth Johnson, and his wife were awakened by the sound of gunfire just before 5:30 a.m., the sheriff's office said. No one was injured.
