— At least five people called 911 Sunday morning to report a shooting inside a Super Target in Apex, according to 911 calls released Tuesday.

None of the callers saw the shooting, but they reported several shots being fired.

Police said Mervin Carroll Mims, 67, shot and killed his former girlfriend, Guadalupe F. Rosas, 59, of Apex, before killing himself in the store Sunday morning.

Rosas was a cashier at the store, at 1201 Beaver Creek Commons Drive.
