When are we going to get serious and go after these scammers, and put them behind bars for many, many years?

I think that is the Idyll by the Sea Two in North Topsail Beach. Beautiful but overpriced.

    $13,000? Must be a gold-plated house.

I had something simular to this with a regular rental. the guy wanted to send me the keys through the mail before even handing over any money or me seeing the place. I finally got the address from him and drove by. The place was for rent but from the real owner. I call the owner and told him. He also said this was the third time someone tried doing that. I went back to craigslist and flagged as fraud.

Once again, proving the old adage: "If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS."

Great, great report. It's amazing how many of these scammers are out there. And sad to say, that website mentioned is full of them. One must be very careful not only there but everywhere when it comes to vacation rentals.

Ms. Santel is awfully lucky she's got such a sharp eye; many people would have been blinded by the huge discount.

Wonderfully nice to get a discount on the new place.

Your suggestions are spot on when it comes to finding a great vacation rental.

It's reasons such as these that prompted me to write a guide on how to not get scammed when it comes to vacation rentals.

    Good luck!
