There was a rush to convict BUT
This is so completely sad and proves that dealing with lying, insane people drives sane people crazy.
This man had to get all the details and figure out who was lying.

aconservativeperson -- I didn't know Gottlieb either, but this quote says it all:

"It was dismissed more than a year later after special prosecutors with the North Carolina Attorney General's Office found no credible evidence to support any of the woman's claims."

So ... he contributed to the travesty because his investigation failed to identify obvious lies in the accusation. Was that incompetence or intentional? Neither speaks well of him as an investigator. We, as a society, need better than that.

Seankelly, you obviously did not know Mark. He was a wonderful father, husband, and friend. The only ones you should be blaming for the trumped up charges are Crystal Mangum and Mike Nifong.

It is hard to feel sympathy for a guy who helped trump up charges against three men and was willing to send them to prison when he knew no crime had been committed.
