Really? I have seen no indications that Mr Aiken lacks Honor, character or integrity?

  • Obamacare returns again May 13, 2014

Wow, this man had a very bad month.

  • BuglessDuster May 13, 2014

I just shook hands with Mr. Crisco about two weeks ago. Sad to hear about his passing.

  • A person May 13, 2014

It is a shame that a man of honor, character, and integrity has died, we needed him. Now there is no one with those traits running for that party in that district

More politicians should be as honorable as Keith Crisco!! His death is a loss for his family, his community, and all of North Carolina.

My prayers go to his family!

As someone who worked for Keith Crisco I can tell you North Carolina lost a good man. Let us hold his family in the light.

As someone who knew Keith, this is what I hope others will take away from his life's example: All of us, left, right, and center, regardless of our faith or politics or personal wealth or lack thereof, need to give back meaningfully to our communities and our state.

That's what Keith did for decades, and he didn't have to. We owe him -- and his family -- a great debt for his contributions to North Carolina.

Now let's go pay it forward. All of us.

Sorry to hear and so sorry. He seemed like someone I would have considered being an independent. Condolences to the family. He was a good man.

There goes the only reasonable candidate in the race. Sad... what a shame.

As someone not that much younger than him and on blood thinners, I am well aware how something as simple as a sharpe blow to the head could take me out. It is a reminder to us all that life is fleeting and if you think it could not happen to you no matter what your age you had better think again. Thoughts of love to his family and friends and I would like to make a plea to the snarks that troll this site daily to take some of the hate out of your soul and love yourself and your neighbor for this day may be your last.

Such sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Truly tragic.

  • southernmama May 12, 2014

My heartfelt condolences go out to Keith's family and friends right now. Regardless if a person supported Keith or not, he served the people of NC and he put himself out there once again to be of service. God bless.

  • curiousgeorgia May 12, 2014

What a terrible tragedy--he was such a nice gentleman. Prayers for his family, we have lost one of the good guys!

  • glarg May 12, 2014

"Aiken now presumably will advance to face Republican Congresswoman Renee Ellmers in the November general election.

Thats not obvious. What if Crisco turns out to have had more votes? Doesnt the Party then appoint the nominee?
