Osprey, I was starting HS when this program ENDED. Furthermore, I was living in Chicago. Please tell me why a stranger's sterilized at her family's request is MY sin.

I also heard the sky was blue during that timeframe. I'm sure that's relevant, somehow.

Yup, a southern hybrid of the democratic party historically known as the Dixiecrat. Once this party started supporting civil rights it's constituents quickly jumped ship and joined the republican party which did not. History, what a pain huh?

Crimes of the father right? Over 7,600 people were forcibly sterilized, yet only 1,800 are later compensated. I guess if you get away with a crime long enough, you will eventually owe no one.

I hope Office for Justice of Sterilization Victims goes over the applications with a fine-toothed comb to make sure only people who are eligible for compensation will get paid. In this day and age, I am sure this whole endeavor is going to be rife with fraud.

    Wonder who that could be?
