Only Roy knows the answer to that question, and he doesn't want to share it:)

UNC clicked on all cylinders yesterdy. Paige did a super job.

When Roy had the health scare, he said was so grateful to be okay, and he would enjoy coaching more than ever before. I had my doubts as Roy is Roy, and he seemed very frustrated earlier in the season when his team couldn't run the high octane offense that is the cornerstone of his teams. Roy made adjustments to his coaching and his lineup, and just look at the results! I think this is one of Roy's best coaching jobs ever. I'm glad Roy is healthy, and I'm glad he's at the helm of his alma mater.

Roy is doing a great job of coaching this year. He basically lost last year's team to the NBA and now he's taking a new group of players and got them improving at the right time of year. GO HEELS!!!

Since Maryland is leaving the ACC, I hope they are taking Adam Gold with them.

The smaller lineup has better team chemistry. They work well together.

Roy does get critized, and sometimes it is warranted, but no one can argue with his results. We lost everyone last year, and came back with a total new concept and a freshman point guard, which I think is the best freshman point guard in the country. Strickland is starting to show some of that speed and quickness he had last year. Bullock and Hairston are as good as anyone in the country. Not many could do what those two do for their team at positions they aren't use to playing at. This "small lineup" is much quicker and can run the break the way Carolina is suppossed to do. The future looks good for Carolina with the freshmen and the recruits coming in.

Roy has shown why he is a HOF coach and knows the ropes. His young players have developed quickly and can produce. He has also shown the ability to switch styles and lineups fearlessly. Many a hater whine about Roy, timeouts, he can recruit, but can't coach, but the Tar Heel faithful know we just have to "Trust In ROY", another Tar Heel HOF coach who has made his bones, and we will be back at the Natty promised land in the near future. This team and it's growth have been both challenging, and fun to watch. But is it not what it's all about to be a Tar Heel, taking what looks like an impossible task, and turning the situation into a WINNER?

The linehl change helped him a lot. This smaller lineup should take UNC to the sweet 16, hopefully further.

  • scmae36 Feb 24, 2013

I agree Paige looked alot better.Don't start blowing him up. But he still has a ways to go if he wants to play in the NBA..

  • SportznutV2.0 Feb 24, 2013

Take Purvis, Warren and Lewis to the Dr they are failing to grow!

  • bernardjaysr Feb 24, 2013

That's right! Marcus has turned the "Paige" and
is no longer a timid point guard. Look out ACC!!!!

  • heelsforever Feb 23, 2013

Bet writing that hurt Adam pretty bad.

  • StunGunn Feb 23, 2013

When I listen to Paige in interviews, it's obvious what a smart young man he is. I knew that his smarts and determination would eventually pay dividends for Carolina, and today was the day Paige would showcase the skills he's developed and parlayed into a Carolina win in their grudge match against rival (YES, rival) NC State. This was the most complete game Carolina has played to date, and one of Roy's best coaching jobs.
