I am SO sorry for the latest victims and families. But why are all these reside acting like Henderson is a quiet crime free town? The violent crime rates for Henderson are WAY above the national average, way above the NC average. We even surpass New York City. The murder rates are higher in Henderson than Durham. From city ratings =The city violent crime rate for Henderson was higher than the national violent crime rate average by 175.62% and the city property crime rate in Henderson was higher than the national property crime rate average by 290.49%.
I believe we need to know what's going on, but quit acting like this is a quiet town where everyone leaves their cars and doors unlocked. It hasn't been ,,, in a long time.

A friend of mine told me that she'd had a friend of hers to almost be carjacked. She told the police. Nothing was done. I find it hard to believe that everything that I've heard about is all only "rumors". I think theres an element of truth to the violence that's going on that the police dont want to get out for fear of no one shopping in Henderson. I'm sorry if it hurts the economy but any woman with any sense needs to be very wary of going anywhere in Henderson by herself.
