I wish Wake County had gone with a two-hour delay. I didn't get to work until noon. Or start with a one-hour delay and put everyone on alert that it could be extended.

I'm glad they delayed. No job is worth taking a chance. It's only 2 hrs. My safety is worth that. If you don't like it then go to work and wreck your car. Wake County did the best thing by putting kids first. Thank you, Wake Co.

temps right at the 32 degree mark do not cause ice on the roads, period. its amazing that the weather people don't know this, or the school systems who delay hours before any precip even falls. when I look at the comments on here though, it's no wonder they do they things they do...some of you are comical when it comes to analyzing things you know nothing about.

"In Cary, however, crews were prepping main roads and bridges with brine, especially in known trouble spots."

This is getting ridiculous wasting our tax paying money for nothing...yet the other day when there were really 20 degree weather and ice all over the place, they were nowhere to be seen.

WRAL you don't post anything that doesn't agree with your views

Wake County doing what it does best, putting parents and families last.

Wake and Durham Counties are going to "wait-and-see"

Two hour delay, freezing rain, snow, sleet, tree limbs falling, power outage. It's going to be a mess tomorrow and won't get better until spring.

YAY!!!!!! 2 hour delay happy dance!

How odd! Wake and Johnston are under alert, but not Harnett which runs between much of both of them. LOL

Whatever!!!
