You cannot be that turned off. You are on the UNC forum day and night!
Post by 6NationalChampionships
Nobody has anything locked up at this point, but both teams would have to have a total collaspe to miss the tournement. UNC may be a little more on the bubble than State right now, but they will get in partly because of their history. State has some quality wins and a pretty good RPI rating. They beat Stanford, who is not that good, but not a bad team either. They beat UConn who has beaten both Syracuse and ND. They beat UNC-A, while no powerhouse, made the tourney last year, is leading their conference and will probably make the tourney this year. Except for WF and maybe Maryland, all of State's losses have come to ranked or tournement teams, and Maryland is still on the bubble, one of the last 4 out at this point. Both UNC and State are in the Top20 in SOS. So unless either one collaspes and loses 3-4 of their last games, they are in. And even then, they would still be on the bubble. Name the last year the ACC didn't send at least 4-5 teams to the tournement, Right now the top 5 are Miami, Duke, State, UNC and UVa tied for 3rd with State and UNC, but they are fading a little and lost the last head to head match up with both. State and UNC both are probably going to win at least 2-3 of their last 5 games giving them around 20 or more wins on the season, so they should be about a lock at this point.

I am not sure why people are stil doubting that State is in the tourney... unless they lose the remainder of their games. They showed that they were a projected 7th seed tonight, before they won the game against FSU. UNC is closer to the bubble, but I think they will get in too. Congrats to all UNC fans for a solid road win tonight. I am looking forward to a good match-up on Saturday. At least there are a few UNC fans worried about State for once in a very long time. That is a small victory in itself I think. Go Pack!
Post by 6NationalChampionships
Carolina's loses should be considered also ...loses to Indiana-(road) Butler-(road) Texas-(road) State-(road) Virgina-(road) Miami-( twice) ...some have said Carolina is struggling but for a team that lost 90 percent of its scoring from last year. Their in good shape... GO HEEL's

Some UNC fans have totally turned me off of late.

Same here.
Post by Hokie 94
There is no way anybody has locked up anything at this point. State and UNC each only have 1 win over the Top 25 and both were at home. I would argue that if Carolina wins on Saturday they resumes are even with the edge to UNC if they take care of Duke in the finale.
Post by jgunn
No doubt. Hopefully tonight was State's good game and Carolina's bad game and it will reverse on Saturday. It better, or we won't hear the end of it for a LOOOONNNGGGGG time...lol.

Any win on the road is huge for this team. Looking forward to kicking the wussies back to Raleigh on Saturday.

UNC came to the fore tonight and played a solid game. This was a much needed win to obtain the bid. I think they are in after this one. Go little Heels. My son just called me. I told him to never call me this late. Great road win.

The game was downright ugly, but I agree, I'll take a road win any day. They need to play a lot better on Saturday. State was really hot tonight.
