Then again, what's the point? He'll get out, change his name, get a new license (or simply drive without one) and be back on the road in no time.

We need to make the penalties for driving drunk or on drugs (even rx drugs) as severe as humanely tolerable). Then and only then will we have a chance to stop these senseless deaths. When will people wake the heck up!

He was charged with dWi, not dUi. The article doesn't say whether he was intoxicated or not.

I certainly hope Raul Herrera, 31 is charged with death by motor vehicle based on the final investigation findings. After all the article states " He faces one count of driving while impaired" and "Investigators said Raul Herrera, 31, swerved into the back of a Nissan Maxima".
