That was the point, bob. Not to see the gov dine on Ramen noodles, but to illustrate that $350/week is inadequate. Also he should only get THAT for 12-20 weeks then his staff can hold homemade cardboard signs at off ramps for him.

why would the governor try to live on $350 a week? he has a job, being governor, and taking care of his state so that the right policies are in place to bring industry here. this is the stupidest thing i have ever read. if someone who doesn't have a job claims they can't live on $350 a week how will someone who does, and an important one for that matter?

No you are not. The employer that sacked them is paying for it.

I've got a job, mister. Difference is, I'm not trying to slash insurance benefits due to those unemployed through no fault of their own to subsidize tax cuts for erstwhile "job creators."

Last time I looked the News and Disturber was full of jobs, yes some I would not want to have but if I had to I would scrub toilets to make my house payment n car payment. A job is a job, if you are looking for some backbone. It amazes me some people have computers n internet but complain about bills HUH? Call your friends, pound the pavement get a JOB.

If people are so much more "lazy" then why is the American worker the hardest working, most productive, least vacationed worker in the world? Are there so many people surviving off handouts when they could get off their tails and work that they are the majority of the popular vote?

This country experienced an ascendency in the 50s and 60s when income tax rates were higher and infrastructure and education was being built. Tax rates are historically low. So quit whining about "your" families income.
