This is ridiculous and I know he should be locked up asap! A five year old?! How could anyone in their right mind want to do such a thing. People out here must protect the kids and TAKE A STAND FOR WHAT'S RIGHT. People like this are walking the street, our neighbors and associates. STAY ATTENTIVE AND PROTECT OUR KIDS!!

If he's soliciting a mother to do this - I would be willing to bet he's already done something like it for REAL.

He needs to be locked up forever, and she needs to be the same.

I know that won't happen - but he should be on sec offender list for even asking about this and she should be not allowed to have children. Period. I am not a big fan of government doing things like this to people (think WWII Germany) - but - forced sterilization of women like this is ensuring no child will be born into such danger.

Oh and she should be on sex offender list too - just to make sure she's never allowed to work in a field with access to kids.

It boggles my mind after reading the 5-year-old girl’s mom received text message from this “man” (35-year-old Brett Howard Hilton) who asked to have sex with her child – instead of she contacted the LEA and reported this “man’s criminal intention”, she dodged her most important responsibility as a mom which is to protect her own child at any cost from the pedophile, she let “Wake County Human Services” do the right deed which is to file a complaint to the LEA. And on top of that, if “A search warrant in the case also suggests that the child's mother entertained Hilton's requests” turns out to be true, then she needs to be locked up behind bars as he!

Seriously? Ok. The dumbed down version of what I REALLY want to say about this is as follows. A grown man wanting to have sex with a 5 year old is sick. A mother that would even ENTERTAIN such a thing is more sick, although not by much. How does a mom NOT cause bodily injury to someone that would suggest such chit?

WHAT?!?! Evidence suggests that the mother entertain's his requests!!! What in the world is going on here? She should defenitely be arrested under suspicion of solicitaion!!! SMH!

Please tell me what it is about this comment that violates your GOLO policy. Please refer to the story about the rape of a woman in Delhi. We have no need for prisons in this country. Why can't we do things the old fashioned way. It will only result in less crime.

Agree that the mother should be locked up in a cell right next to him if she "entertained" the idea of allowing it. And whoever came forward with this information deserves a big "thank you" from all of us. I for one am glad to be reading about it now and not after the fact.

In my opinion, the mother is just as guilty, if not more so. Sick and evil to even have that run through someone's head. She should never be able to get that child back. If she entertained the idea now, she would probably put the child in harms way again. No parenting classes or probation will ever correct this sick mindset.
