I heard about a recent patient at a hospital that was homeless. And he hated the homeless shelter so bad, and he couldn't live outside in this cold so he told one of the medical staff members that he was planning on robbing a bank so he could go to jail instead. I am not saying that this is the person (because I have absolutely no idea who it was) but it was very interesting to hear of some of the reasons people would consider breaking the law - in order TO go to jail.

where are all the Raleigh bashers? If this was Durham, there would be 100 comments saying how dangerous Durham is....I guess all the bashers that live in Raleigh are speechless..why am I not surprised?

So if the robbery took place around 10am (according to you), would it be too far fetched to say it happened "shortly after 9:30"? Keep it moving, Scrooge.

At least no one was hurt. Laws are useless against individuals who have no respect for their fellow human beings and society.

Terrible reporting. The robbery was sometime around 10:00am and WRAL didn't even send a crew to the scene or give a description of suspect(s)

The schools in the area did not lockdown. At least I know Broughton did not.

I witnessed a crazy vagrant just yesterday at Carolina Cafe in Cameron Village who stole the food off the table of a mother and son who were eating lunch there. Cameron Village has a fair amount of regularly occurring crime week by week if you read the crime reports.

And another Robbery in Raleigh this week. Almost becoming expected with the alarming rise in crime in Raleigh lately. Hope they catch the person/persons that did it as details are vague.
