Good for Harvard...Hey maybe they'll make room for Kay Hagan when she's kicked out of office...

  • Bartmeister Jan 24, 2013

Anything to get her out of NC

  • wakewiseone Jan 24, 2013

    what a joke !!!!

i knew harvard was a low information org when it produced the likes of obama and the ceo that screwed up blue cross a few years ago.

but pudge??? give me a break.

  • Rebelyell55 Jan 24, 2013

Just had to drop in and see some of the "bashing". She may of not been a great Gov. but the woman ain't that dumb. In two years after the current group get through with the state, I'll be interested to see what some have to say.

  • atheistswillrule Jan 24, 2013

Only 5.07% of the population is Republican...Sounds like HEAVEN ( even for an atheist). atheistswillrule

But a Republican still managed to beat Martha Coakley for the open Senate seat a few years ago. Go figure. samr

She didn't carry Cambridge MA where Harvard is located. In fact they went against her by 90%....GO FIGURE.

  • welfarequeen Jan 24, 2013

Wingate is a grossly underrated institution. samr

LoL, yeah Sugar. Send the word out WATCH OUT HARVARD!!! Wingate college is gunning for you. What is in the water around here?

  • welfarequeen Jan 24, 2013

Wow, The Worst Gov. in the History of NC gets a job like this at Harvard. I'm going to try and apply for something over there. Maybe a professor or something. I know I'm not qualified, but I'm sure I can do it!! onegood dad

Dream on Sugar! you might want to first aim for being fry crew chief at McD's before you aim for Harvard!.

I know I'm not qualified, but I'm sure I can do it!! Just give me a good salary and a 4 year contract and I'll see what I can do. I'm sure I'll be able to do more at Harvard than she did for the State of N.C.

  • atheistswillrule Jan 24, 2013

A ray of sunshine on an otherwise cloudy day! Good riddance to bad rubbish- here's hoping that grossly overrated institution keeps her!!! senclandson

    And you attended WHERE? Wingate?

Harvard gets to list a governor. Bev gets some status and meaning in her professional life. Maybe the result will be some candid talk on how a Century+ long democratic control of NC came to an end via abuse of power and neglect of citizens.

  • atheistswillrule Jan 24, 2013

I am happy for her and I hope they keep her. ripetomatoes

Oh, I'm certain that she hopes that they keep her as well. Not only is it great money, great prestige and great access, it is considered one of the most liberal cities in the entire USA ( the surrounding communities refer to it as "The People's Republic of Cambridge." They make Chapel Hill look like Goldsboro. The first legal applications in America for same-sex marriage licenses were issued at Cambridge's City Hall. They have fabulous museums, public art, a very diverse populace and low crime. Only 5.07% of the population is Republican...Sounds like HEAVEN ( even for an atheist).

  • Relic Jan 24, 2013

That is the funniest thing that I have heard in weeks. No wonder Yale people make fun of Harvard.

  • ripetomatoes Jan 24, 2013

I am happy for her and I hope they keep her.

  • FairPlay Jan 24, 2013

    Lessons to learn:
    1) How to hide expenses from auditors
    2) How to say one thing and do another
    3) How to follow only 1 agenda
    4) How not to govern

Guess her ineffectiveness will be taught to a whole new generation

  • jrfergerson Jan 24, 2013

At least she will be moving out of NC - and that might just be a blessing

  • superman Jan 24, 2013

She gave the Dix property away and then agreeded for the state to pay rent on any buildings they use. Just how foolish is that? You give somemthing away and then agree to pay to use it.

  • pbaileyjr2 Jan 24, 2013

I'm sure they don't care, but my opinion of Harvard just went down significantly.

  • miketroll3572 Jan 24, 2013

Whats she gonna teach them? Deception and lying?

  • 37 Jan 24, 2013

Eyes rolling so hard I'm dizzy.

  • notkidding Jan 24, 2013

Perdue at Harvard? Hangin' with the Massachusetts Liberals, eh?

  • whatelseisnew Jan 24, 2013

This is simply just frightening. Harvard is little more than a trash pit.

  • sartainfamily Jan 24, 2013

So she can tell them what *not* to do? Sheesh. She had one of the worst approval ratings in the country. This dramatically reduces my opinion of Harvard.

  • Hans Jan 24, 2013

When is everyone going to wake up and see the connections between these elitist universities, elitist corporations/banks, elitist politicians and the fake "Two-party" political machine?

  • North Carolina Cutie Jan 24, 2013

I don't see anyone on here that was governor anywhere.

  • North Carolina Cutie Jan 24, 2013

    You haven't seen worst yet.

  • wildpig777 Jan 24, 2013

whats the title of the course-- How to miserably fail as Gov nor? or how to delude yourself into thinking -- the masses love you?

  • 11of10 Jan 24, 2013

    Lengend in her own mind.

  • outdoor592000 Jan 24, 2013

What, she governed during the last 4 yrs? Now this is new news.

  • signify6644 Jan 24, 2013

"Green jobs are HOT" Bev Purdue, 2009. Yes, all those HOT jobs from companies that went belly and wasted our money. LOL

  • signify6644 Jan 24, 2013

Keep her there. Those defending her so called "record" just vote straight democratic ticket, and don't pay attention to reality. Worst. Governor. Ever. Next to the thief of Carolina, Easley.

  • Terkel Jan 24, 2013

    "Interact." "Participate." "Lead study groups."

IOW, sit back and collect for doing nothing.

  • 426X3 Jan 24, 2013

You have got to be kidding???

  • Crumps Br0ther Jan 24, 2013

The disasters we were left with were the result of the Republican General Assembly, not Gov. Perdue.
    stagemanageralan

Typical. Its always someone else's fault. Being a democrat means never having to take responsibilty for your failures

  • Crumps Br0ther Jan 24, 2013

A fine lady who served us well! She is being justly recognized for her greatness...

    walences

Any examples? Didnt think so. LIke I said if she was so good the DNC would have told her to run again. Her mucking it up is what got her party out of power. You cant defend her.

  • They call me CATMAN Jan 24, 2013

Harvard keep her please. Just don't let her neer anything dealing with money.

  • walences Jan 24, 2013

A fine lady who served us well! She is being justly recognized for her greatness. Now we can watch the republicons muck it up.

Ignore the hate from all those unqualified to sweep the floors at Harvard.

    goldenosprey

Barry would be pleased at your class warfare rhetoric. Hypocrite.

  • Crumps Br0ther Jan 24, 2013

Congratulations Bev. It's too bad you had so little to work with during your all too short tenure in the Governor's Mansion.

Ignore the hate from all those unqualified to sweep the floors at Harvard.
    goldenosprey

She isnt going to date you.

If she had done such a good job the DNC would have told her to run again, they instead abandoned her, because they knew how weak she really was.

  • BigSteamnTurd Jan 24, 2013

Good for her, but tell her the rest of us are here in NC cleaning up the disasters she left us with.

  • aamblb Jan 24, 2013

They must be hard up. She has not done one thing for NC

  • aspenstreet1717 Jan 24, 2013

Is this a joke? Someone pulling my leg?

  • superman Jan 24, 2013

I would be williing to pay not to hear her. Glad she is gone.

  • disgusted2010 Jan 24, 2013

She "courted" UNC, NCSU and Duke and ended up at Harvard. Shows that NC schools are smarter.

  • goldenosprey Jan 24, 2013

Congratulations Bev. It's too bad you had so little to work with during your all too short tenure in the Governor's Mansion.

  • beachboater Jan 24, 2013

"And to think someone will be paying to hear her lecture." Billfisher

Exactly what the taxpayers of North Carolina did for the last 4 years as governor and prior to that 8 years as lt. governor.

Her involvement should be short and sweet. And worthless.

  • gmarcum Jan 24, 2013

    Stay gone!

  • bubbaOK Jan 24, 2013

Congratulations! beats Leavenworth. Guess if one can't be beloved by the Gods, we can be somebody's darling. Bon voyage!
