    Not true. Actually, a vegan diet is completely unhealthy, doesn't save the planet and still kills animals. It has also been proven that eating just grains and soy causes damage to your body and is basically unhealthy.

    I believe it is you who is denial, or just haven't researched the topic enough to be informed.

    Oh yeah, animal fat is good for you.

    Actually, beans & rice is a good & tasty fiber/protein combo.

    It'd be interesting to see the inside of the arteries of all these naysayers. They might change their tune if they really understood what they are doing to themselves.

    Yeah, but you have to agree, bgibson, that those foods cause more flatulence than most! I mean, seriously, vegetarians can clear out rooms!

    As if urination, defecation and flatulence isn't a part of being human, no matter what you eat... and people are much more likely to be unpleasant for what they believe and propose, than for what they eat and dispose.

    Home-made hummus can be delicious, and when combined with assorted veggies, shredded wheat srekcarc, olives, roasted red peppers, etc. can please the senses with or without a meat included.

    I like curried apple soup either cold or hot, with or without chicken. And, I make a mango/avocado/pineapple/chipotle pepper/lime salsa that's great.

    I'd eat it. I love all sorts of food, with or without meat.

    immaannoid-Carnivores can be very fragrant, too. My husband is a meat lover (has it every meal) and I can't stand to be in the same room with him sometimes!

    My daughter used to do that when she was four, but at six she will at least try something before turning her nose up! Admittedly, beans and rice isn't a great example of a tasty vegetarian meal.

    Anyone who doesnt think it is healthy to eat less meat, needs to take some nutrition courses, like you take in nursing school. I eat meat, but I definitely think it is a great idea to gives the arteries a break once in a while. Ever seen plaque build up along your arteries. You tiny arteries that go years and years with meat and garbage going through them?

    Why the hate on Meatless Mondays? No one's forcing you to give up meat. I love my meat, but I'm not going to die if a skip it for one day. I actually do that on a regular basis, and I feel better. And my digestive track gets along with vegetables just fine. It's meat that can throw it off.

    Hmmm, well Chick Fil A, Burger King and a few other fast food joints will certainly pick up some business on Mondays. I understand the "healthy" thing, but not everybody believes it is healthy to take meat out of your diet. I would not eat there on Mondays, sounds very unappetizing to me!

    How about convincing some vegetarians/vegans to have meat one day per week? That would also add "variety" to their meals. Let's face it vegies don't agree with many of our digestive tracts.
