It's very difficult for me to imagine having the mindset that 1. I will take from others what doesn't belong to me 2. run from the police. 3. slam my car into a police.

Great job Cary PD! No matter what the Cary haters think, the majority of us residents think you do an awesome job. Crime is everywhere no matter how much of a safe reputation a town or city has.

Score another one for Obama? Clearly you don't understand the role of the president and you surely over estimate the amount of power he has over peoples lives. I shall throw a yellow troll flag on that comment.

  • ellengraham5660 Jan 18, 3:21 p.m.

What is wrong with people. Haven't they figured out that you don't steal from people??? I can't understand someone growing up and not KNOWING that it's wrong and you just can't do it without usually getting caught. Such a waste of time and good life.

You people are so blind, how can you give CPD credit for catching these guys driving around at 2:00 am. Stupid criminals. They broken in 34 businesses in Cary, Apex and Morrisville over the past month.
    THIS NOT GREAT POLICE WORK.

    Score another one for Obama!

  • LuvLivingInCary Jan 18, 1:45 p.m.

all we need is more cheap apartments for these guys to launch out of. at least one cary police officer deserves a great pat on the back.

  • jackhandey Jan 18, 12:08 p.m.

Way too many apartments being built in Cary. This is bringing in crime and leading to the downfall of a nice city. As a 32 year Cary resident it's time to move as well.

  • jsok123 Jan 18, 11:18 a.m.

So, Raleigh and Cary and Wake County wanted the Big Time so here it is. Good job city and county planners, good job.

  • southerntalent Jan 18, 11:00 a.m.

You can blame Cary's Board for having transformed a nice single family town into one rife with apartments and condos. After first wave of decent tenants new crowd coming in is causing havoc and crime. Cary sold out to the developers who made their bucks and then moved on. Cary used to be rated the nation's safest small city but no longer. Even in desirable areas such as Preston and West Cary their are pockets of crime from these apartment/condos. These 2 chuckleheads are probably not native NC's (NJ my guess for one of them) and have a dismal track record on mugshots.com.

North Raleigh near between brentwood and mini city was a really nice area, then in the 80s the older apts started letting in sec 8 ,now as homeowners ageout and their homes are bought and rented out, crime moves in.

It's why we are moving from Cary...

  • Tax Man Jan 17, 7:27 p.m.

And by the way - Thanks you Cary PD for the fine work in catching these thieves! We do appreciate what you do for us. Thank you for being there to protect us, our families and our businesses.

  • Tax Man Jan 17, 7:25 p.m.

"Boxcar" their sentences and give them many years to suffer for their crimes. Make them work hard while in prison doing menial chores that benefit our county and state. Take all of their assets and leave one sentence open at the end so they have to make full restitution during probation. See you in about 50 years!

  • Its the who what Jan 17, 6:02 p.m.

Another group of Cary citizens committing violent crimes in Cary. They need to be locked up with no bail for trying to kill a cop. What if they wrecked that car that they crashed into? A family would have lost a father. The fact is that when you have people like this that dont want to work and drain our tax dollar, its like you are stealing from me too!! Who knows the amount of free services they were getting but still feel like they need to steal. Maybe if Cary can adequately address their terrible crime problem, they rest of us law abiding citizens can feel safe from criminals like these.

  • Rebelyell55 Jan 17, 5:52 p.m.

While it seems a losing battle, at lease they're getting some off the street, even if it's only for a little while.

  • workingforthosethatwont Jan 17, 5:52 p.m.

    excellent police work!

  • Its the who what Jan 17, 5:46 p.m.

Well, these two are perfect examples of the type of criminal element that lives in Cary. Cary needs to do a better job of removing criminals from the streets and locking them up. These Cary citizens committed an extremely violent crime that could have killed many people. Although our tax dollars have already been wasted on "public services" that criminals like these take advantage of every day, I just hope that we do not waste more by giving them a lengthy trial. At least these two Cary criminals are off the street. More to come....

  • Mr. Middle of the Road Jan 17, 5:36 p.m.

Oh yeah, good job by the LEOs.

  • johnny2times Jan 17, 5:11 p.m.

Good job to law enforcement...only 7 comments for the cops catching these bad guys? Wow...

Busy night for CPD, they busted 2 other perps stealing lumber from a construction site near Old Apex/Cary Pkway a few hours earlier.

  • westernwake1 Jan 17, 4:06 p.m.

Great work by the Cary police.

  • Phyxius1 Jan 17, 3:55 p.m.

Good job for the Cary police on capturing some burglars that also happen to be Cary residents. Hopefully they can catch the other people they are looking for and prosecute them too. Too bad they may be right back on the street in no time at all.

  • BlahBlahBlahBlahBlah Jan 17, 3:53 p.m.

Great work Officers and Law Officials!!!
Thank you for putting your life in danger to make the city safer!
