Well to all the boycotters, sorry, looks like Hockey is gonna be just fine for the next 10 years. stinks for you that you've comitted to not watching it! Jimmytwotimes

OK something we can agree on

GO WINGS!

JGunn - support the players? Really? You support icebrains that whined about making $ millions? The icebrains don't realize that a small market team like Carolina cannot support the mega-salaries these mega-dense players want.

Karmanos and other owners did what they had to do to keep hockey in small markets. Even with these changes, the jury is still out on the long-term viability of Carolina, Tampa Bay, Florida, Phoenix, and Nashville. If these teams fold, there will be less spots on NHL teams for icebrains to make their $ millions.

No it's just for opening night only.

Tickets are 50% off for all home games?? Really??

To boost ticket sales, single-game tickets for any of the 24 home games are 50 percent off through Thursday.

Keep this promotion up for the rest of the season if you REALLY WANT TO MAKE AMENDS!!!!!!! I'll wait until I see the product first before my hard earned cash is spent on these guys. Canes always start out flat. Don't forget the rest of the league is playing with the exact same sense of urgency as the Canes!!

All of you lining up to pay $90 for a seat that used to cost $8 at Dorton arena. Then once inside you'll be buying $8 beers (they were $3 at Dorton). You go right ahead... you can have the seat they built for me. I'd rather have the Icecaps back.

Except we earned interest on our Ticket plans, get discounts on future seasons, and will get compensated for games not played, plus the other bonuses they are kicking in to make up for it. I think it balances out. Sure, stinks, yes....but we still come out ahead. I havent got full info yet, but by my figures, we may get next season's tickets for next to nothing if I roll over the interest and unplayed games credits combined wth discounts. Works for me!

Why are there no Sunday or monday home games?
