Used to be passionate following hockey. Now, I could care less. The Canees and the Bruins (my team) can cease to exist.

I know a guy who parks cars for the Hurricanes. He was badly hurt as these clowns argued about billions

Couldn't disagree more. Stewart offered nothing and the canes needed a guy to protect their stars in staal (x2) and skins. It was a borderline great move, as Kevin was already a resident of Raleigh, as he is married to Bill Cowher's daughter. He will be around for awhile.....and ready to drop his gloves and give Carolina the true enforcer they need.

Stop whining and go away if you are so mad about it. Oh, and btw, that many showing up just goes to show that all of you haters out there will never be right. North Carolinians love sports, and they love Hockey, even when we are mad, we are loyal to our favorite teams.

I'm guessing JR is looking to go with a stay at home grinding defense-man instead of having an over full stable of offensive minded defense-men that has typically spelled doom for this team. I likes Stewart as well. so I am mixed on that trade. The Philly trade however.. I have to say I am never a fan of trading away draft picks. but we will see.

Hate seeing so many people at the practice after such a foot the groin negotiating process that impacted the average fan and arena employee far more than the selfish players and even more selfish owners. Oh well, can't wait for the next work stoppage.....looks like a lack of fan support won't impact that decision making process!

yawn

I hate that they traded Anthony Stewart; he seems like a lot better player than what the Canes are getting from the Kings. Stewart is a better scorer; I don't like that trade at all.

"Brian Boucher and defenseman Mark Alt pack their bags for the Philadelphia Flyers organization in return for 23-year-old Luke Pit"

Don't know how this deal will play out but the Canes have a strong history of dealing players to the Flyers. Usually its worked out in the past and I hope this does too.
