This is impossible. Could not have happened. If we have a law in place forbidding guns under certain circumstances, no one can illegally have a gun. Isn't that the premise under the new assault weapons limitations - that if we make them illegal, the criminals won't have them?

It is always amazing to read these comments from people who seem to forget that this country was founded with violence and the perpetrators of the most violence against every race of humans are always the one crying out for control. Check yourself as it appears you've already wrecked yourself. Hate and hate based policy and principles can only prevail for so long before it breeds contempt.

There should be a law against a felon carrying a hand gun. Will someone call Mr. Biden and suggest that as a way to solve our issues with gun violence?....flemingj

Are you lost? Did you read the part about this guy being charged with....and I quote....

"Rufus Henderson II, 46, of 937 US Highway 158 Business East, Warrenton, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury."

This is unique, a law against a felon with a hand gun and Big Brother and the loco from England think they can collect our arms to solve the shooting problems in America. I'll bet that works like the war on drugs. But these are the type wars America has fought since WW II.

LOL...my point is "there is a law already. Felons generally aren't respecting the law". ....yet, in DC, our high and mighty will sit in front of cameras all week and tell us "IF we only ban this gun or that gun our violence will go away." Really? Google how many people died last year because of being hit in the head with a hammer. Maybe we should outlaw that too. The fact is that the lack of laws is not the problem...villians don't follow them already.

From 1865 up until now is a long time to be conditioned.It was once field worker against house persons,now it's father against son...still controlling situations
