@clickhere: Read- He was on Nc game lands. I don't think he was doing anything wrong or trespassing. Don't be so quick to judge. Prayers for this man and family, especially this time of year.

Part of the risk, maybe part of the thrill. Hope he was not hunting on private landing. Many land owners are wary this time of year with hunters wandering across their land. Understood that there are many good / ethical / careful hunters in NC but on the other side there are to many that think they have rights to hunt whereever they want to. I've met them face to face, so don't need any rebuttal here, only constructive criticism. Sorry for this man, but not enough information to know the circumstances.
