Its not the departments that are the problem it's the Durham County judges. The judicial system in Durham is a revolving door.

I feel bad for the officer. But if Durham PD puts the same effort in catching all the bad guys as much as they put into finding these guys Durham would be a much safer place. Sorry I call it like i see it.

One has to be crazy to be a police officer especially in Durham County these days. After any situation lawyers and community organisers question every action taken. Also they need bump up the compensation to be competitive so Durham stops training officers for much of the state.

Durham P.D. is a great place to work and serve a community. The training is some of the best in the nation! The Sheriff's Departmrnt is also a great place to work! You won't meet any finer people around!

Your son would be very lucky to be part of Durham's PD...some of the best trained officers and they do wonderful work everyday, just a shame how it gets overlooked or misconstrued thanks to the media and news. Prayers with Officer Stewart for a full recovery and so very thankful he is ok. Prayers for justice to come to these individuals during their courtdate!

Prayers for the officer's full recovery, and nothing but bad wishes for the criminals of this earth. There is most definitely bad and good, and it's time Society gets over the liberal BS.
