rmsmith: "OK...larceny of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon. Misdemeanor charges only. Why not make the charges felony and mandatory jail time."

before posting try doing a minimum of two minutes of research. both of theses crimes are felonies. possession of firearm by felon can also be prosecuted on federal level (prosecutor discretion). interesting, yet uninformed opinion.

Probably none of the three would take a job if it were offered. Been living off the government and money they receive for stolen property too long. We can thank President Lyndon Johnson and his GREAT SOCIETY for actions like this.

And I'm sure what they stole was worth a lot of money. Sad part is they'll most likely see very little jail time. Now, if they would just follow up and make sure they're not getting any "benefits" , since they're now crimminal.
