My wife and I were laughing at that! It wasn't intentional, but it was still funny. :)

You called it!

I thought our defense was pretty good last night. The problem is, we'd play good defense and force a missed shot. But then they'd get the rebound and have another shot at it.

Plus, as soon as we'd start to pull away, they'd hit a big shot to stay within striking distance. Credit to them for that, but I also saw a few "shooters rolls" on some threes and really long twos that rolled around and somehow fell in. Credit to them for that, too, but usually long misses don't clank around and fall in like that.

I guess my point being is stuff like that made this game seem closer than it really was. You could tell who was head and shoulders the better team out there last night. The Pack is improving. Thankfully, our next five games are very winnable games. We have a chance to keep working out the kinks while (hopefully) continuing to win.

The best part is that while we're definitely a solid team, there is room for a LOT of improvement. Our freshmen are learning and improving every night. For once in a very long time, I think "this time" we actually have some good basketball to look forward to.

Haters, go ahead and save this post. I'm sure some of you will. I could be wrong. We could still fall apart. But I like our chances for good things this year. I feel like the only roadblock in the conference is Duke. Man, are they good this year. Wow.

Isn't there still ice at the PNC? I thought they always kept it, and wasn't there some Disney on Ice show there? Anyway, that's an interesting point. No matter the reason, State is playing very well.

Don't know just how valid this might be but having the Canes locked out and possibly the portable floor put down on the concrete instead of the ice, might provide a more stable floor surface to play on. Also without the Canes games being played perhaps the Wolfpack gets more time to practice on the PNC Arena.

How 'bout that Wolfpack!!!

waited until State jacked him up before he even called a TO

Huh?

They were down by 17 and they got it back under single digits. What exactly did he do wrong? They managed to stay within 7-9 until they finally ran out of time at the 1 minute mark.

ESPN box scores.

You sure? Cause it says State HAD a good offensive game...

Agree Hokie. I want to see the stats.
