You're assuming all who commit crimes are from the entitlement-supported families. That simply isn't true.

Haven't you heard there's been an increase of crime in Cary? Few entitlement-supported families live there because they simply couldn't afford to.

We have got to get to a point where our society starts to give punishment that equals the crime. In other words, if you murder someone, the exact method you used, should be used to execute you.

Until we get back to this method, our justice system is just a joke to criminals and does nothing to deter them from committing crimes again.

That entitlement money needs to be cut and the parents to anyone under 18 caught committing crimes should also catch a charge .

They are like packs of wild dogs running among the innocent. Sadly, little prosecution will be awarded them and they will probably kill again in their lifetime.

Start with Halloween....If you desensitize your kids to guts and gore you start to diminish the value of life. Adults, stop letting the TV raise your kids. Your priority should be being the best parent you can be. Having it all should be raising "GOOD KIDS".

Not sure who would use that greenway on that side of town besides criminals. Waste of taxpayer money. immaannoid - your comment shows both your ignorance and racial prejudice It is a tragedy that this father of 3 has lost his life in such a demeaning manner. There are many lives that will be changed forever. Let's not begin pointing fingers at the parents of these teens. We have no right to judge anyone when so little information is available on this story. Thanks go to the police department for apprehending these teens before anyone else got hurt. My thoughts and prayers go to the Brown family during this difficult time.

" . . . what is wrong with society today . . ."? What is wrong is society's moral compass was thrown out the window. What guidance did these "kids" have? Was it MTV, BET, WW SmackDown, R-rated violent video games, etc.? Hmmm, bet it wasn't parental guidance!! Someone go get the compass back!!
