This is a sad story.... Prayers out to the family and friends.
Is this close to the Dorothy Dix land "deal"?

  • Sweetgrl3 Dec 14, 2012

I just saw on ABC that he was homeless. My question is if he was engaged, why wasnt' he living with his fiancee? I am still praying for his family.

Very Sad story! At Christmas time makes it sadder! Prayers go out for his family and loved ones.

  • Sweetgrl3 Dec 13, 2012

I am so sorry for his kids and family. Can't imagine anything like this. Praying for the family. No one should have to go like this.

No one deserves to die this way except for the person that committed the crime. Barfly

    Ditto the above comment...

It is so sad, I know him personally, and the family are deeply grieved by the news and his daughters are really in a state of shock, because they were looking to spending the christmas holiday with him.

As the soul leaves the body, Respect should be taken of a body. May his friends and family know that there are many that comdend what happen & we have them in our prayers.

  • dwr1964 Dec 12, 2012

I never read anywhere that he was in the trash since Nov 20. Some people just apparently have never learned to read.

    Good job rand321

So sad that someone murdered him, but what is even worse is to dump his body in a trash can, just like he is a piece of garbage. God loves him just like He loves eeryone else. Shameful.

southerntalent...what does your comment have to do with anything? What does the fact that there is a homeless camp located off of Hammond Rd have to do with anything? Are you investigating the case? The fact is, this man was murdered. No matter where he lived, or what he did for a living, he deserves respect. He was someone's father, son, and friend.

    >> "A body found in a trash can near Raleigh's Capital Area Greenway over the weekend is being investigated as a homicide"

    Really, It's not natural causes?

There is too much violence in this world.

  • passport423 Dec 12, 2012

How sad. Deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.

  • PJM Dec 12, 2012

this is awful!, how does someone throw a body in the trash as if it is trash!

Prayers to the family, may God sustain them during their loss!

  • duwanna50 Dec 12, 2012

    This is so horrible.

  • southerntalent Dec 12, 2012

that ramp off hammond road is a known homeless area and sometimes you can see an encampment just to the left if you are waiting for the light, sometimes there are beggers there as well.

  • Phyxius1 Dec 12, 2012

This is a horrible thing to happen to anyone and my thoughts and prayers to his family. Just recently there was another body dumped in a field in Raleigh. Whats the whole area coming too lately..

  • Glass Half Full Dec 12, 2012

I doubt the body had been there the whole time. Sounds like it was dumped there. Don't be in such a hurry to criticize. Prayers to his family.

  • marciamal1 Dec 12, 2012

This world would be better off if there weren't scumbags going around killing people - I feel really bad for those who get themselves in these situations and there's no telling what the outcome is going to be - my thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

  • Canes Girl Forever Dec 12, 2012

No where does it say he was in the trash can since November 20.

  • rand321 Dec 12, 2012

This is awful...but for him to be in the trash for several weeks before anyone found him is obscene.

The City Manager and Mayor should explain why Raleigh crews do not do the trash more often and why patrols did not notice before now?

  • momeeee Dec 12, 2012

So sad! What a way to be found...

  • texasncgirl Dec 12, 2012

Very sad. There are a lot of homeless people in that area.
