No way a school bond will pass

(Deep breath) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

I will vote NO on any bond for wake county schools as long as the current board members are on the BOE.

Vote "NO" and then ask the County Commissioners to cut all funding to the public schools. Reminds me of when I was a child and I got mad with my parents and I wouldnt eat dinner. I wasnt a rocket scientist but I soon realized that the person I was hurting the most was myself. It takes 3 to 5 years to build a school so this is not a fast fix. If the need for new schools is really there whether you vote for a bond issue or not wont make any difference. The CC will give the schools the money and raise property taxes. This is just far more than just Tata who wasnt qualified to run a 3rd class dog fight. How about Dr. Burns, the board put him on administrative leave and paid him 150k. I never read anything from the principals or support people when Tata was released. Just hope they stop all funding to the schools and they will have to close their doors to public education.

My child is no longer n WCPSS but I personally will vote Yes on school bond. With the grow, we do need it.

PackDaddy:

You do realize NC has quite low per student spending, right? Wake county happens to be lowest amount Durham, Orange, and Johnston county.

"GOOD LUCK getting voters to agree giving any more money to these folks. Support for more bond money went with Tata. LOL." -mep

Unfortunately that seems to be the exact same feedback that I get from my neighbors.

Unless the school board can restore confidence and appoint a Superintendent that the public will support, the bond vote is likely to go down in flames. Everyone in my community voted "Yes" on previous bond issues (most have kids in school). At a Christmas party discussion this past weekend, I was the only one who would vote "Yes" on a school bond issue. I was actually surprised at this feedback and most people cited the firing of Tata as the turning point that soured them on supporting a bond issue.

VOTE NO!!!! Enough is enough. Its time the libs understand that their actions have consequences. Why is it the Dems have had control of the education system in this state for almost 100 years but we still rank at the bottom. This is undeniable.... Their answer is to always ask for more money.... BTW, the last thing we need is for more people to move here...

I would urge everyone to vote "Yes" on the upcoming school bond. It is clear that the student population in Wake County is growing and more schools will be needed. The most cost effective way to finance capital construction is via bonds.

I will expect that the Wake County School System can fully explain how the money is being spent before the bond is put up for a vote. Hopefully this meeting with the Wake County Board of Commissioners moves the process along and helps to properly define the financial information.
