It's not ghetto at all. These buildings are owned by a developer who has long term plans for an office tower or hotel on the site. In the meantime he is renting them for whatever he can get into a space that is not fixed up whatsoever. Actually, I am surprised he is fixing the building and not just demolishing it. Mind you, it is among the oldest buildings in downtown and I would prefer to see it kept and renovated...

There is no bakery opening up beside that building. It is only a storefront facade. Frankly, I hope the sweepstakes place doesn't open back up.

I got stuck in it during peak and it was NOT "serious". The amount of traffic on that street between 645am and 8:30am is not as heavy as people may think. There was a tractor trailer trying to back into a delivery bay about a month ago that caused a delay of 19 minutes! That was the longest I've been stuck in traffic in over six years.
