I know I have seen at least two of these guys before; the suit with the yellow tie and the yellow shirt guy. I believe they work in the BOA or BB&T building which would make sense because they would be returning to the parking garage in that area around 2:30AM after a night out. Police should check the parking garage cameras. I doubt these guys were walking south of Lenoir St. Another option was returning to the Marriott and they are all out-of-towners.

blue is laffing - I was thinking the same thing! Those security photos are terrible. It would be very difficult to recognize anyone from any of those photos. You'd think, with how far we have come with technology, security cameras would take better images nowadays.

Five guys--I would have just given them what they wanted and hope they wouldnt injury me or kill me. Dont have enough cash that I would risk my health or life to keep.

how about some captions beneath the pictures? Who is the victim? Who is the guy in yellow?

Jimmytwotimes: keep dreaming. Unless they have a significant criminal past and loosers for lawyers they will probably do no time at all.

Hopefully they will all do 10 years of hard time when caught. there is no way they won't be caught with those pictures out now. unless they were in town for one night and left that morning. hopefully not.

There would be five dead preppies if they attacked me.

  • Lovey Dec 5, 6:21 p.m.

The guys are criminals, they stole money that wasn't theirs and they severely injured someone. I hope they face their consequences soon. From their looks they will be able to afford to take an attorney with them. I hate that. PEACE.

news says they 'appear to be 5 white guys'.

But I have to say, the girl LEFT her purse on a chair and walked a few feet away. Now that doesn't excuse what the 5 guys did BUT it begs the question......WHAT was she thinking?

  • aspenstreet1717 Dec 5, 5:59 p.m.

What took so long? These guys were doing something downtown. Bought something .... drinks dinner etc.

I agree with kbo80. A full description, if it is available, needs to be disclosed. Were they white, black.......

Since the race was not disclosed, I am going to assume there was no way to tell. Otherwise, TELL!

Looks can be very deceiving! A well dressed person, could be the one who does a bump. A hippie looking type person, may be totally straight! Likewise, rough looking folks may pose no threat, while those wrapped up with a bow, are to be avoided.

I've never carried a purse. I see no reason for them, but that's me. Glad things did not end up worse - and they certainly could have.

  • whatever02 Dec 5, 5:44 p.m.

preppy means they were wearing khakis and button down shirts.

  • Its the who what Dec 5, 5:08 p.m.

We need these common street criminals off the street. They are a danger to every law abiding citizen that wants to enjoy downtown. I hope they lock them up soon
