allsmileshere... Everything is not all about race. I think that race statement is a little played out now, dont you?! A child is a child and they are looked for the same no matter what race they are. I hope you have not spread this ignorance around to people around you.

@ allsmiles - No it would not make a difference because two 14 year-old white girls are missing from Wake Forest right now and you are not hearing anything about it. They have been missing since yesterday morning.

Everytime a father takes their child an Amber Alert is issued...but this child goes missing and.........I hear about it first on Facebook a couple of days ago. If she was blonde haired and blue eyed would it make a differ?

I believe it's better to have a false alarm then no alarm. Also I read the whole story. Your copy and paste job simply showed how to give info not get more JKKC. Silly you and not reading that I wanted to know more not share info that I didn't have. Thank you Swedish for posting that I did not know all the criteria required. Our children are victimized more and more now. Hopefully she's home safely now.

Where's the amber alert info? Seems odd we're just now hearing about this.

Because the amber alert is for the following:

•There is reasonable belief by law enforcement that an abduction has occurred. •The law enforcement agency believes that the child is in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death. •There is enough descriptive information about the victim and the abduction for law enforcement to issue an AMBER Alert to assist in the recovery of the child. •The abduction is of a child aged 17 years or younger. •The child’s name and other critical data elements, including the Child Abduction flag, have been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) system.

If these ALL are not applicable, they may not do an amber alert.

JKKC, I think Aesthetic is wondering why its not been issued like other Amber Alerts (TV, radio, or amberalert.com)

Aesthetic, I'm thinking the information you are curious about is included in the last line. The one that says: "Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call police at 919-560-4415, ext. 29312."

Silly me and my ability to read the whole story!!!!!

Horrible part of town. At least 6 murders there in the past few years. Including the 13 year old boy hit by a stray bullet last year I believe. I hope they find her.

Very bad area in Durham.

Where's the amber alert info? Seems odd we're just now hearing about this.
