Excellent, really excellent! Another six gun toting Yahoo shot himself. At least he did not manage to shoot any innocent bystanders and hopefully the cops have confiscated the six gun. Hopefully it will be melted down and made in to a paper weight.

If other LE agencies were not called in to help with this "accident" , this would NEVER have made the news. Wake Forest officials would have made sure of that. Heck, there was at least one helicopter flying over where I live for over 45 minutes. But, hey, accidents happen...lol.

I so agree with you. Sadly, I believe the news media adds to this problem. I believe they know the truth but are silenced, to fluff the story. Okay, obviously this will not be posted but the truth is the truth.

I do not think that is correct. To buy a hand gun, you have to get a permit in that county, but if you already own one, you do not have to register it.

Well if you live in Durham you have to register your handgun if you intend on carrying it in Durham. I think Durham is the only county requiring registration of hand guns .

The only county in the state that actually requires handgun registration after purchase is Durham county. The permit to legally carry is an altogether seperate issue.

I agree. There is a lot going on weird in Wake Forest when it comes to disclosing actual incidents like these. Interesting FACT, the police department in Wake Forest, decides when they will or WILL NOT write up and incident report. Therefore, the crime rate reported by Wake Forest Police Department is inaccurate. (In all fairness I'm not sure what entity in Wake Forest implemented this insane decision).

I strongly believe it is an attempt to draw as many people to Wake Forest as possible and by not providing records or incidents it makes it look sooooo desirable. Wake Forest IS desirable, very desirable, but to LIE, imo, about true crime statistics is just crazy.
