You're the one with no sense of humor...or sense for that matter.
Post by PacknoPride
A HeL* of a lot better than yours did. Pure embarrassing.
Post by baldchip
Exactly, while I had rather see State get a different coach, we will probably not get a well established coach. State will probably have to do the same thing UNC did and that is settle for the best that they can get. 99% of the people had never heard of Dykes before the stories broke and 99% of the people had never heard of Fedora before UNC hired him. They both coach for high powered offenses but neither one will ever be that successful because neither one knows how to coach defense or hire good defensive cordinators. If either one ever figures out that defenses wins championships, then they might build a successful program.
Post by Deacons
State is talking 2-3 million and you need to check your facts. There are a lot of coaches at big time schools that are not making over 3 million a year and Clemson's OC makes less than 2 million, a few hundred thousand dollars less.
Post by Dr. Feelgood
Bubba hasn't found cr*p yet. Fedora won with players he didn't recruit. He won with a team returnimg a great rb, a very good qb and other good players that he didn't have anything to do with. He won with a team that was expected to win and even your Bubba Gump replacement coach last year could have won with this year. A great player like Gio can make any coach look good just like TOB at BC. Without Gio, UNC would have been 500 at best. He won at S Miss with players mainly recruited by the former coach and look at S miss this year, the coach may not be good, but Fedora did not recruit and leave any good players at S Miss when he left. He may turn out to be a good coach but so far he hasn't proven anything except he can win with a lot of talented players that other coaches have recruited and a great rb that could win 2-3 games a year for any coach. UNC settled for Fedora just like State will probably settle for a mid-major coach or a cordinator because thats the best either one of them could have got. We will see in 2-3 years.
