I noticed on the news last night the car they showed had out of state tags, wonder if they're only being put on them?

I also wondered, based on the news story, if maybe they were targeting those who park badly.....can't remember the exact wording but seems at the bottom of the 'ticket' it said something like that.

How hard can it be to catch these people? If there's a way to send them money, just follow the trail.

I've long thought that we need some sort of Escape from NY type gulag for these scammers and identity thieves.

A problem with outsourcing municipality services will eventually end up turning into a scam just like this. What next? A property tax scam? It can happen because all of our vital information including mailing address is online for all to see.

" (maybe they're just moving from those places).

Probably some truth in that statement, but we don't seem to have a problem growing our own either......

Clever scheme... Hopefully the cops are smart enough to figure out who opened up the PO box or who's been cashing the checks, though I'm sure it was under a false name... I don't like the way this city is going, starting to feel like NYC or Miami with all the fraud (maybe they're just moving from those places).

Hopefully no one will get caught by this but I suspect at least 1 or 2 will.
