nauti-dog, there are three die-hard leftwing radicals on here that there is no getting through to them or even having a factual conversation with. And, you just had one of them by the collar. Did you get anywhere? NOPE!!

The same could be said for weapons of mass destruction. So why did the nation go into such a hissy fit when bush invented the story about Saddam Husein having them?

"So why do we need the RPD? We have WRAL doing the investigating and reporting their findings.
Now the city can officially shut down the PD and save bunches of money.

Well that's just a swell idea.

  • AFSC426X3 Dec 3, 4:56 p.m.

I guess now the taxpayer will have to pay for keeping this person in jail. Not to mention the hospital bill. To bad the LEOs aim wasn't a little truer.

  • rachel Dec 3, 4:20 p.m.

paul taylor- it is the alleged murderer who owed the back rent- the victim was the property owner/landlord

  • bombayrunner Dec 3, 3:34 p.m.

so he isnt going to get the,'I'm to sick to go to jail' treatment'?

"Because he was quoted several times that it was his intention to carry out the use of such weapons? Research it. But maybe those quotes were fabricated by the "six gunners" too
    Nauti-dog"

First of all, he could not use what he did not have. and secondly have you never heard of, "saber rattling?" also than by your logic, the only time a miscreant should have his six gun taken away is when he says he is going to use it?

"piene2 fires off about six guns (pun intended) every chance he/she gets. Serious lack of material there. Guns, like any other inadament object, are useless until someone decides to use them to harm someone.

    Re: "six gun packing America"

piene2 fires off about six guns (pun intended) every chance he/she gets. Serious lack of material there. Guns, like any other inadament object, are useless until someone decides to use them to harm someone. If you lean too far left, or right for that matter, you will find yourself running in circles pretty soon.

  • paultaylorsr100 Nov 26, 6:31 p.m.

It would seem the article should be about the murderer rather than conjecture the victim "may" owe back rent.

  • NCHighlander Nov 26, 6:27 p.m.

I am sure he did and why not? Is that not how we are now supposed to settle disputes here in six gun packing America? Six guns and Buscadero Holsters for for those nice shootouts. I wonder where the nearest quick draw classes are being held?
    piene2

It's being reported as a shotgun not a six gun with a holster but what difference would that make to those most ignorant gun hating leftist?

  • paultaylorsr100 Nov 26, 6:23 p.m.

Yeah it would be nice if the complete story was gathered before printing. Mayb that way you could quell the anti-gun crowd and the rumor mill.

  • paultaylorsr100 Nov 26, 6:21 p.m.

    ". . . six gun packing America?"

Here we go with the anti-gun crowd. There was no mention of your dreaded "handgun" mentioned in this article. What I read was a shotgun!!!

  • monami Nov 26, 5:51 p.m.

It galls me that the news keeps reporting on the shooter's condition. He's getting way too much air time. He shot his landlord to death execution style and then shot at police officers. Who has any use for this person? He needs to be locked up permanently, if he lives.

  • VanC Nov 26, 5:02 p.m.

True that there is little to go on from this information, but at least it is based in some fact (he was a tenant). Unlike the rumor that hollyrama is starting. Please people, out of respect for Mr. Simmons, lets not start unbased rumors.

  • chmcphee71 Nov 26, 4:26 p.m.

Well if you worked at the CQ store wouldn't you want to know a little bit of something?

  • disgusted2010 Nov 26, 3:32 p.m.

Another example of the24/7 entertainment that calls itself news. Have to keep the readers/viewers happy, regardless of whether you report anything or whether you hurt someone or their reputation in the process. I used to think that WRAL was different, but lately you have put yourselves at the N&O's level.

  • atheistswillserveinhell Nov 26, 2:46 p.m.

oh, so now you are into reporting rumors, assumptions and fact-less stories??? Way to go; you are very reputable....NOT

  • HANS FOR PRESIDENT!!!!! JK Nov 26, 1:01 p.m.

Did he take a gun to meet the guy for a rent dispute? Have his mind made up before he got there a little? It stinks that a man, no matter if he was a good one or not, lost his life over money and taxpayers get to pay the other guy's "rent" for the next 20-30 years
