Good point...hadn't thought about the gnaw factor. I had thought of scattered and skeletal, but not gnawing & elemental deterioration. That makes sense.

Dead bodies rot away to skeletons. The bones are scattered. Animals gnaw on the bones, distorting them, the elements deteriorate them. No medical examiner in their right mind would make any sort of determination without testing. However anyone who is enough of an expert as to be able to identify bones by just looking at them should offer their services to the forensics community.

they don't look like deer bones, and to my knowledge we don't have an abundance of monkeys or apes roaming the woods around here.
