"I'm just replying to another user because they said he was stealing from the kids... the fellow GOLO comment implies 'direct' theft from the kids... which is false"

I didn't realize that we were required to follow your rules for posting here. I didn't see any "implied" anything. Does it matter what you call it verses what they call it? It's all semantics. Saying "Stealing from people...LOSER" is no less valid than saying "kids", or "students", or "Christians". They are all of those things. Were they directly effected? No. Were they effected? Yes. So what does it matter. These kids and teachers are going to come to school to use the tools they were needing and they won't be there.

Yes,, More and more of the unable will start to steal to feed themselves and then later the able will start also. Let this PRES y'all lected just drive us all to theivin for survival....zenonx6.

But I thought NC would be immune from all of this, what with a GOP General Assembly and Gov. Right?.

  • romneycare Nov 20, 3:37 p.m.

@zenonx6 the "unable" who started to steal to feed themselves has been happening prior to 2012, 2008 elections... matter of fact, people stealing to survive has been around more centuries.... Why blame the president for this guy stealing to feed himself? It's a concept that has been going on for 1000s of years.

    The Mayor of Durham.....!!!!!

  • romneycare Nov 20, 1:59 p.m.

@starletta exactly! He stole from the school! Not 'kids'

  • yankee1 Nov 20, 12:27 p.m.

You can re-brand Durham until the cows come home. The residents of the city define it and it ain't pretty! You cannot encourage he presence of low life's and then expect a new image of a city to emerge regardless!

  • starletta Nov 20, 12:22 p.m.

Geez, stop with the semantics! He took something that did not belong to him!

  • romneycare Nov 20, 11:18 a.m.

@libertariantechie ... I don't understand what you're saying... if you read my comment again, i did mention that he was stealing tools used by students...?? just like the article... I'm just replying to another user because they said he was stealing from the kids... the fellow GOLO comment implies 'direct' theft from the kids... which is false

  • LibertarianTechie Nov 20, 11:09 a.m.

@romneycare, actually that is what the story stated. To quote from the article: "Officers responded to a break-in call at the school, at 1217 Holloway St., about 8:30 a.m. Saturday and discovered that a storage shed had been broken into and $2,500 worth of tools used by students at the school had been stolen."

  • romneycare Nov 20, 10:44 a.m.

He's stealing tools used by students... I wouldn't really call it "stealing from kids" but if thats what you want to call it.

  • Country Girlz Have MORE fun Nov 20, 10:36 a.m.
