This is not about guns, more gun laws or less its about the type of people are involved in these shootings. NAAACP protest police doing their jobs but not not trying to better their followers. If they were like most of us who have to get up early to go to work they won't be out there late at night.

Hmmmm. Sounds to me like the Christmas shopping frenzy has started early! PUT DOWN THAT LAPTOP! I SAW IT FIRST!!!

No one who was properly trained and licensed to carry a firearm would "start firing a gun @ who you assumed" fired at you...training and responsible ownership trumps that assumptions...!!!!-SmokeWagon

Let me guess…no one “properly trained and licensed to carry a firearm would” accidently fire gun while cleaning it, transporting it, hunting with it, etc? (sometime even at a person) Being “trained” does not remove the human element of chance / panic / emotion. Guess ‘friendly fire’ never happens at war either because our soldiers are some of the best trained warriors on the planet…

Oh, really? I think not!

NotAgain: We don't want Iran to have a nuclear warhead for the same reason we don't want convicted felons to get firearms. And the majority of the disincentive for Iran to get a nuclear warhead is the rest of the well-armed countries giving Iran stern warnings.

..."Yes, the best thing to do when standing in the middle of a large group of panicked people (who are more than likely running every which way) is start firing a gun at who you ASSUME is responsible…. WooHoo2You..."

"I am a liberal, gun owner, and a vet…and understand that guns don’t magically fix / stop / prevent crime and while a person “could have taken the goon down” however it was not likely. Did you know police officers hit their target in an actual shootings less than 43 percent of the time and that they are much better trained that your typical “responsible gun owner?” I can see Joe Blow with a Dirty Harry complex 'saving the day' can't you.... WooHoo2You"

I would much rather be involved with one armed miscreant than be involved with one armed miscreant and a gaggle of six gun packing Yahoos.

..."If everyone carried, then lowlifes would be much more reluctant to open fire because they would be gunned down immediately...." ..."I disagree with this logic, otherwise we would not care if Iran got a nuclear warhead. NotAgain..."

...and by your logic ONLY criminals would have guns...!!!!

"I'm guessing the victim wasn't armed; otherwise they could have returned fire and brought the shooter to justice. Decorated War Veteran"

and most likely killed off some innocent bystanders as well.

"You're missing the point. If everyone carried, then lowlifes would be much more reluctant to open fire because they would be gunned down immediately. "

I disagree with this logic, otherwise we would not care if Iran got a nuclear warhead.
