This is not about guns, more gun laws or less its about the type of people are involved in these shootings. NAAACP protest police doing their jobs but not not trying to better their followers.
If they were like most of us who have to get up early to go to work they won't be out there late at night.

Hmmmm. Sounds to me like the Christmas shopping frenzy has started early! PUT DOWN THAT LAPTOP! I SAW IT FIRST!!!

No one who was properly trained and licensed to carry a firearm would "start firing a gun @ who you assumed" fired at you...training and responsible ownership trumps that assumptions...!!!!-SmokeWagon

Let me guess…no one “properly trained and licensed to carry a firearm would” accidently fire gun while cleaning it, transporting it, hunting with it, etc? (sometime even at a person) Being “trained” does not remove the human element of chance / panic / emotion. Guess ‘friendly fire’ never happens at war either because our soldiers are some of the best trained warriors on the planet…

NotAgain: We don't want Iran to have a nuclear warhead for the same reason we don't want convicted felons to get firearms. And the majority of the disincentive for Iran to get a nuclear warhead is the rest of the well-armed countries giving Iran stern warnings.

"I am a liberal, gun owner, and a vet…and understand that guns don’t magically fix / stop / prevent crime and while a person “could have taken the goon down” however it was not likely. Did you know police officers hit their target in an actual shootings less than 43 percent of the time and that they are much better trained that your typical “responsible gun owner?” I can see Joe Blow with a Dirty Harry complex 'saving the day' can't you....

I would much rather be involved with one armed miscreant than be involved with one armed miscreant and a gaggle of six gun packing Yahoos.

You do know what sarcasm is, correct?

I seem to recall recent high profile murders not occurring along New Bern Ave., so maybe it isn't as 'high crime' as some would like to think.

Lots of shooting all up in here. Too bad everyone in the crowd didnt have a gun.. Surely a missed opportunity for nearby businesses and homes to be shot up at OK Corral.

You're missing the point. If everyone carried, then lowlifes would be much more reluctant to open fire because they would be gunned down immediately. Under the current conditions, favored by weak-kneed liberals, these goons know they can fire away without fear of retribution.

"Raleigh police say one person was shot in the leg Monday evening when someone fired gunshots into a crowd of people on North Carver Street."

Okay, I have been hunting with guns my entire life and have used handguns as well but I cannot see how someone shot into a 'crowd' of people and only hit one unless they were using a BB gun. Where are the other details for this story because this is very unbelieveable to me.
