NCHP did not murder anyone. The runaway driver killed himself by driving the vehicle at excessive speeds and did not want to have the troopers check him in the system.

Why run from a checkpoint?

You either have outstanding warrants, have something you should not have with you, are driving a stolen car, etc etc etc.

If the runaway vehicle did not hit a large truck, more lives would have been lost.

Kudos to our Highway Patrol!

Sounds like to me Darwin is alive and kicking saving the tax payers a whole lot of money. He made the choice to run, not anyone else. One must take responsibility of ones actions.

"Well obviously as soon as he drove off he deserved to be executed in an accident that may not have happened if the over zealous NC highway patrol had not entered into a unneeded high speed chase. Also just because he avoided the DWI check does not mean he was drunk. But the troopers were once again only doing their duty. It is amazing how often someone dies when they are doing that! Runt over again"

The problem is that the cops watch all those cop movies and imagine they are all Dirty Harry or Rambo. Also, how much of an adrenalin rush can they get radioing ahead for a roadblock or blowout strips? The simple answer, none at all.

Can you really blame LEO. What about the box truck people? They were driving along. Who was protecting them? They have rights too!! The driver in the vehicle broke the law. Sorry he paid the ultimate price. Hoping the box truck people are healing.

hey, he could have pulled over at any time! he was no victim!!

"Did they really need to chase this guy? They could not just radio ahead and get his license plate? Once again the esteemed NC highway patrol has murdered another individual. I am beginning to think they have a yearly quota for putting people in the morgue!" Really! I have never heard a more ridiculas statement made in my life! The guy ran before they started chasing him! Flight upon the sight of law enforcement is not a normal response. I pass them everyday and don't run, only the quilty run!

"just because he avoided the DWI check does not mean he was drunk."

Your right, he could have been up to something worse I guess.

Always someone else's fault these days. I'm sure his family will get rich like family of the 16 year old who climbed in the wheel well a plane and fell out when it took off, a genius that one, now his good for nothing parents are suing the airport for not preventing him from trespassing.

"So now the reckless drunk is the victim. Wow just wow..."
