I have serious questions about allegations like this being posted online. An innocent person's reputation can be ruined before they are proven guilty. I realize that we need to protect minors from any kind of abuse, but we seem to forgo "innocent until proven guilty" for salacious headlines.

He must be hoping for a job at Penn State

"Bond or bail is NOT intended to represent the magnitude of the ALLEGATION, nor should it. Keep in mind at this point of the judicial process, there has been no finding of fact to PROVE GUILT in a court of law. Bail or bond is simply a risk assessment of the accused with regard to being present for trial or fleeing from the charges. whoami"

I have been trying to tell the people here that for years but, sadly they are just too obtuse (Not my first choice of description of the natives but all that will be printed) to understand that very basic legal principle.

I'm wondering, if he if found not guility, and the claim against were false, will they follow up and post that? I'm thinking of a bus driver who lost his job due to a claim of verbal sexual assault or mis-conduct with a minor of something like that. Never heard no more about it after they plastered his picture all over the news.

I have seen several of this type of situation develop across the state--and not in one of them has the fact that the allegation was made been forgotten--regardless of guilt or innocence--the community in general and the educational establishment in particular don't overlook it--his teaching and coaching career in the public schools of NC is over.

People are *falsely accused* more than anyone might think....some people just plain lie about things....and sometimes things get *slap out of control* because investigations are *botched or not performed like they should be*....it happens and it happens a lot....and it is sad when *INNOCENT PEOPLE get indicted, tried and convicted* for crimes that they are NOT GUILTY of....I think some people *rush to judgment* when they should wait and hear/see the facts first....

you would think the bond be higher... this pervert/ child molester might try to skip town

joseph, i disagree. If he's found innocent, and if he is innocent, I hope he is, he'll be fine. It's not like Raleigh is the center of the universe and everyone knows or cares what goes on here.

It's the who - I don't understand your post. If a molester went around molesting every child he ran in to, he'd be easy to spot and everyone would agree he was a molester. But he doesn't, does he? He chooses one here and there but never enough to raise suspicion so that he has all these other people who say "oh, he never acted that way around me or my child", "oh he's a great person", etc. Saying that someone is innocent because he didn't act a certain way with one person means nothing. It just means he didn't act that way with that one person. It doesn't mean he didn't molest another child.

Even if he is totally innocent--his career as a teacher and coach is shot. Just like the guys on the Duke Lacross team--it was proven that absolutely nothing happened--yet just the allegation will follow those boys the rest of their lives.
