This is very dishonorable and very despicable behavior and should be heavily punished. If found guilty, make a big example out of him and his cohorts.

"Even more LOL. I work in automotive. Our service intervals are every 30/60/90k. I'm well aware of what 1k would be. Thanks though." GravyPig

He is also right. I work in the wiring business and M is 1000,

"Gravy, K is metric, M is standard nomencalture (AKA the english system you know feet, inches, miles, gallons, etc.) both signifying a thousand. All I can say is we are heading into a new dark age when simple math symbols are lost on the masses."

Sorry guys, you have to be in the administration of the congress in order to steal and not be punished.

"1 M is a thousand, 1 MM is a million WRAL. Check your headline."

    "@Riddickfield - 1K is a thousand.1M is a million."

    LOL

  • djofraleigh Nov 15, 1:06 p.m.

checked on the "M" use as commented below...

A single M is 1,000 only in Roman numerals. We don't use Roman numerals in normal headlines (aside from things like Super Bowls). For most headline writers, K is 1,000, M is 1 million, B is 1 billion, etc.

the AP says: • Use Roman numerals for wars, monarchs and Popes:
World War II, King George VI, Pope John XXIII

If those who are in charge let him get away with shipping this stuff home right under their noses, I think I'd just let it slide. If this guy got this stuff by you, no telling how bad you let the petty thieves rip us off.

  • Brogden Nov 15, 12:32 p.m.

Why hasn't the other crook been charged???

Oh you guys have no idea what these boys bring home . Often its small items like some cool sun glasses or some gun parts but a few still have live munitions and explosives . I say its ok if its small , look what they have done for us but big stuff like this ? Why would you need a designator ? He sounds more like a clepto than anything

  • Uhavenoclu Nov 15, 10:02 a.m.

Woohoo bless our troops they are so brave and trustworthy. Don't you just love em?
When will the blind finally open their eyes and see?

"Wow!. As I expected, there is two stories on this site involving cops. Those stories have tons of comments. Yet this one about a soldier has 1. How pathetic. Bottom line, crooked cops and crooked soldiers should both be treated the same, like crooks. Yet lets not judge any of them until we know the entire story. Keep catering to these people and we will pay for it in the end. Maybe its our fault and not Obama's???????"

The article was posted at 5:14pm, the first comment was at 6:01pm. You commented at 6:15. Sorry that your need for comments was not satisfied in the time you wanted. Most people are eating dinner, driving home, getting with their families, so you probably won't see an increase until tomorrow.

Another quality poster blaming Obama for something he has no involvement in or control of. Stay classy.

Disgusting! Can't believe 1) he was dumb enough to think he'd get away with it 2) WHAT was he gonna do w/ those weapons? 3)not only stealing from the government but using government transport to assist him. Methinks he should spend some time UNDER the jail. Don't need to know more about him OR his story to feel this way. Yes, there are bad apples everywhere but when they are discovered/caught then ALL the others come out looking bad as well. Better screening maybe?

  • LibertarianTechie Nov 14, 6:34 p.m.

Scumbag. The fact of theft is bad enough. But from your employeer? From the military? Surely they knew that sort of thing would be noticed.

  • go po-po Nov 14, 6:15 p.m.
