Good for local teams....but please check your seats for fluids(P) ;)

Can't wait to see my Devils play an NCAA game in PNC.

I remember way back (1987, to be exact) when the Smith Center played host and it was filled with Duke fans. The Heels did the usual by choking in the late season and ended up playing and losing out on the West Coast.

    GO DEVILS!!!

You should be excited about your team, they'll be road tested by March, so where they play won't be a factor.

Getting some games is good, lets hope some of the triangle teams can play at the PNC the tourney.

Yeah yeah, they're wusses and we're real men. We're not afraid of what we haven't faced in like . . . forever. Such a privilege it is being us.

Sorry for the negativity. I'm actually excited about our program, but it still pizzes me off. It just seems like the universe is always against us. They couldn't just put it in Greensboro? Seriously!

Agreed, but its ok. Unlike our timid friends in Durham and Chapel Hill, the Pack is not afraid to go on the road. We will prevail; where ever they send us!!

Congrats to the Hurricanes for hosting the games in their arena.

Duke's better off being as far away from NC (and UNC fans) in the postseason.

Regional Finals have been in NC before. UNC 2008 was in Charlotte.

The only city that hosts 1st round now is Dayton.

  • eaglewolf Nov 12, 2012

Great. Even if my Pack turns out to be for real, we still get shipped somewhere else. Enjoy our court again, Duke and Carolina.

  • Last Word Nov 12, 2012

Might as well host more basketball as it seems they dont need the facilities for hockey.

  • Honesty first Nov 12, 2012

SO Charlotte has 1st and 2nd rounds and PNC in Raleigh has 2nd and 3rd rounds. Is this story factually correct?

  • StunGunn Nov 12, 2012

This is great news for Raleigh and for Triangle basketball fans.

  • GoHeels1969 Nov 12, 2012

Sweet! More "home" games for Carolina and dook. Also, Carolina can continue its streak of selling out the RBC/PNC every game in which it has played while the wupaggies have less than 10 total sellouts in over 13 years in games in which Carolina did not play.

You wonder how Gottfried feels about this as it assures that his team will have to go out of state during the first rounds in 2014.

  • kbkline Nov 12, 2012

It would be nice for NC to host a regional final. Not all regionals are held in domes........ So the question is why not?
