heisenberg...sitting on this site and whining and blaming others for your situation,,,,wonder where real problem lies.

  • heisenberg Nov 13, 2012

Hey tired2 - I am in fact hard ay work - trying to find a job. Was laid off in March and still looking - thanks Obama.

  • taylor3297 Nov 13, 2012

Not sure why some of y'all are complaining. This is less than 1% of the current school population and most are being moved to fill three new schools.

  • hollylama Nov 13, 2012

"Wake county school district is a laughing stock being run by a bunch of clowns"
-Heisenberg....I couldn't state it any better than this.

  • tired2 Nov 13, 2012

  • heisenberg Nov 13, 2012

Wake county school district is a laughing stock being run by a bunch of clowns

  • dontstopnow Nov 13, 2012

fingers in ears going la la la la... You people voted that group of clowns in so deal with it. Simple huh?

  • Nunya123 Nov 13, 2012

What is everyone whining about? They have overcrowded and new schools that require reassignment and it is somehow a "leftist" thing? You people need to get a life.

  • Nunya123 Nov 13, 2012

Less than 1% effected and they have to fill 3 new schools (which will account for the vast majority of reassignments) and people still whine. They'd rather have their kids go to overcrowded schools and have schools stand empty than have to get up and get their kid on a bus. Pathetic.

  • Half Red Half Blue Nov 13, 2012

Wake county is a joke to public education.

  • Canes Girl Forever Nov 13, 2012

    This is unbelievable!

  • superman Nov 13, 2012

Look at what they did to Dr. Burns. They put him on administrative leave and they only paid him $180K. He didnt do as well as Tata. Tata took the job knowing what the board had already done to Burns.

  • superman Nov 13, 2012

Wake County must have the most dysfunction parents in the entire United states. The Board is now being critized because they want to assign students to three new schools. People just complain without even reading the "post". If I were a member of the school board I wouldnt listen to you either. You are right "you just couldnt make this up" The parents are not even as smart as the school board members. Are you suggesting that the three new schools remain empty?

  • jlhpcarew Nov 13, 2012

flashyswife - "We need an assignment plan for the assignment plan!" - Great!! lol!

  • Disabled Vet Nov 13, 2012

Wake County has to have the most dysfunctional school system in the entire United States! They are changing the assignment plan more than any other school system in the country!

  • Scubagirl Nov 13, 2012

Granted I have no kids that this affects BUT it seems to me that WCPSS is NOT effective. They have a terrible time making and sticking with a decision, infighting, political posturing. This has NOTHING to do with liberals BTW, rather ineffective people! How can one expect the kids to look UP to these people??

  • ConservativeVoter Nov 12, 2012

When the children on the school board are replaced with adults, we'll be able to have a quality school system in Wake County.

  • flashyswife Nov 12, 2012

You can't make this stuff up people! ....We need an assignment plan for the assignment plan!
Umm, by the way, WCPSS school board, you are making yourselves look bad.

  • avidreader Nov 12, 2012

    Absolutely insane.

  • ConservativeVoter Nov 12, 2012

During the next school board election, the Republicans need to vote early and often just like the Democrats do.

For those who don't believe in voter fraud, in Florida and other states in Democrat controlled counties. There was 114% voter participation and higher.

No wonder the Democrats don't want voter ID to be required to vote.

  • gmiller2 Nov 12, 2012

All made possible by the ignorant liberals who changed the make up of the board again. I hope your proud of yourselves.

  • billybob72 Nov 12, 2012

Seems like I read a "Wake County new assignment plan" headline every other week. So glad I got my kids out of that school system. Politics are ruining it. They need to stop fearing lawsuits and just go with community schools. We have them where I live and they have excellent performance across the whole county because we have great leadership. Voters (even I, a conservative) even approved a property tax increase (to make up for the decline in property values) for the schools last Tuesday because they do a good job and we trust them with our money instead of begging the Feds for more grants. We love our schools and kids proudly wear clothes with their school's names on them. Wishing well for Wake County schools, but don't believe that will happen until politics get out of it.

  • wrobertson95 Nov 12, 2012

Makes perfect sense. Let's have a new plan that's only temporary until we get the "new" new plan the next year! Why don't we just leave it alone until we have board members with some common sense who actually want to do what's best for the students in the county instead of a bunch of little kids who just want to stomp their foot and have it "their" way? I'm sick to death of the entire mess!

  • pedsrndad Nov 12, 2012

No "quality person" seems to want to head up the school board due to the constant in-fighting. I feel the situation is a disgrace that the board cannot come up with a plan that does not need to be revamped every year. We can come up with a multi-year plan based on projected growth statistics and past recorded growth, that is if we wanted to. The board exists to carry out endless meetings and justify continued expenditures on itself, basically tout its own sense of importance without actually doing anything real.

  • kimandwill89 Nov 12, 2012

Serving on the Wake County school board is poison. A person of quality wouldn't touch the position of superintendent. Just look at what happened to Tata. He was a quality person and a bridge builder, attributes the school board majority just couldn't wait to get rid of.

  • taonemayvt Nov 12, 2012

Go vote again. Vote is the best our president...

  • ConservativeVoter Nov 12, 2012

Put Reverend Barber of the NAACP in charge of the Wake County School board.

That would make the 5 liberals and leftists on the school board that Barber controls extremely happy.

  • westernwake1 Nov 12, 2012

    The assignment circus continues...

In other news, the rumor is that Wake County is not having any success whatsoever in their search for a new superintendent. Not a single first tier (or even second tier) reputable national candidate has any interest in the position. One even stated that "Wake County is possibly the worse governed school system in the U.S."
