I am glad the people responsible have been caught and that atleast his family atleast knows that much. This is sick...I can only pray that justice is served.

  • kbird Nov 8, 2012

Sure it wasn't gang related....wake up people, four or five men attacking and killing one person is a gang. It's the pack mentality. Maybe they weren't official members of a gang but they were their own gang. Goldsboro has a problem and appears to be in serious denial, SERIOUS! This is so sad and I am very sorry for his family!!

  • AX MAN Nov 8, 2012

    WOW...Speedy results...Goldsboro CSI

  • killing_me_softly Nov 8, 2012

By the way, I am sickened over this and and how criminals behave. The streets.

  • justafella Nov 8, 2012

Condolences to his family and friends.

  • freedomrings Nov 8, 2012

Heartfelt prayers sent to his family. And ultimate justice.

  • Worland Nov 8, 2012

He wasn't murdered over drugs. This was revenge. He was dismembered, which is why the DNA testing took so very long.

  • NotUrTypicalAmerican Nov 8, 2012

All of them need life in prison. Bread and water forever.

yes Welfarequeen, I agree with fiestyredhead. People get too many slaps on the wrist, there is absolutely NO respect when it comes to the law, this is a good example of it. If he died this horrible death over that much marijuana then yes, something needs to be done to show others to re-think their actions. Oh well.

  • fishon Nov 8, 2012

2 ounces of Marijuana. I mean...that is less than 1000 bucks...

So just how much does the average marijuana "cigarette" use. I don't use either but I would be interested in a comparison with a regular cigarette.

  • babbleon Nov 8, 2012

My deepest sympathy to the family.

  • kodi Nov 8, 2012

A google search says the last person put to death in NC was 2006. Four that year. The death penalty is a waste of time. Once you get the death penalty the appeals automatically start. One hundred and fifty five on death row now. With the earliest conviction dating back to Aug. 1985. A persons chances are much better that they will die of old age rather than die at the hands of the state if sentenced to the death penalty.

  • WageSlave Nov 8, 2012

I wonder if the locals know more than the police because I heard it was.

Yea I know a lot of people that went to school with them. Said it was over 2 ounces of Marijuana. I mean...that is less than 1000 bucks...

You know how word of mouth is though.

  • JustOneGodLessThanU Nov 8, 2012

Nice comments here...with all these examples of Christian Love calling for more death.

  • killing_me_softly Nov 8, 2012

Investigators have not released the cause or circumstances surrounding McLaurin's death but have said that the crime was neither random nor gang-related.

I wonder if the locals know more than the police because I heard it was.

  • shellrocks2000 Nov 8, 2012

My heart breaks for this young man's family.

  • WageSlave Nov 8, 2012

I grew up about 4 miles from where they buried the body. Word around town is they cut his fingers off, burned him, and buried him.

  • Tarheel born Nov 8, 2012

    I agree 'grnpnd7'......

  • feistyredhead2001 Nov 8, 2012

Amen grnpnd7. His family needs comfort from the lord and justice from our system and I for one pray they get the death penalty. They kidnapped him and did only god knows what ... what a shame.

  • Really8745 Nov 8, 2012

I'm sure they'll plead guilty to avoid the death penalty.

  • grnpnd7 Nov 8, 2012

Whatever did they do to this young man that he needed DNA testing. God bless his family and sustain them. I hope the men involved all receive the death penalty.
